Autumn by Marie Bashkirtseff (click for more)

Seasons are a measure of time and they have their own colors and fruit. They are nature’s way of expressing joy and sorrow. The autumn is the time for parting, its cold and melancholic. The colors used in the painting above are dry and dismal. The leaves are falling off leaving the barks naked and exposed but soon, time will heal all.
